General Motors LLC seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to lead the design, development and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes for assigned areas. Analyze product and machinery designs, propose efficient methods, and guide a small engineering team on process and tool development.

Will review tool designs, oversee build and installation, and develop shop-floor build documentation. Collaborate with design and product engineering to ensure manufacturability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years as Body-in-White Manufacturing Engineer.
• 2+ years in mechanical tool design and construction.
• Experience with automotive assembly processes, tools and equipment.
• Experience with production throughput and discrete event simulation.
• Experience evaluating new technologies and supporting implementation.
• Experience in engineering project management: costs, quality, resources, risk, milestones.
• Experience in manufacturing environments including controls, robotics, welding, materials, containers, and product engineering.

Responsabilités

• Direct design, development and improvement of manufacturing processes.
• Analyze and implement product or machinery designs for best manufacturing methods.
• Provide direction to a small group of technical employees.
• Review and approve tool designs and oversee tool build and installation.
• Develop and oversee build process documentation for shop floor.
• Collaborate with design and product engineering to ensure manufacturing feasibility.
• Travel up to 20% to client sites nationwide.
• Hybrid work policy: 3 days in-office, 2 days remote; report to local office.
