Job summary

Brooks is seeking a Cost Accountant to join our Chelmsford, MA team. You will support manufacturing and inventory costing, analyze results, and partner with Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, and Finance to drive accurate reporting and data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities include month-end close, inventory analysis, variances, standard costing, and internal controls. A Bachelor's degree plus 5+ years in cost accounting and ERP/Excel proficiency are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
• Experience in manufacturing cost accounting, inventory accounting, standard costing, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and strong MS Office knowledge.
• Experience with ERP systems, such as Oracle Fusion.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Month-End Close and Financial Reporting: support close processes for cost accounting and inventory.
• Inventory Accounting, Controls, and Compliance: analyze aging, turns, shrink, and related variances.
• Analytics and Process Improvement: support cost accounting processes and decision support.
