Job summary

HighGround is seeking an experienced Controller to lead the accounting function for a multi-brand, privately held organization backed by private equity. You will oversee monthly closes, financial reporting, internal controls, and consolidation across multiple entities, while partnering with the CFO on strategic initiatives and acquisitions.

The role offers a flexible/hybrid work arrangement in the Atlanta, GA or Tampa, FL area, with a focus on scalable finance operations and process improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required or equivalent.
• CPA designation strongly preferred.
• 10+ years progressive accounting/finance experience; 5+ years leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting operations across HighGround and its brands.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Ensure GAAP-compliant consolidated financial reporting.
• Lead internal controls, audits, and compliance efforts.
• Manage multi-entity consolidations and intercompany accounting.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial analysis.
• Drive ERP/finance system improvements and automation.
