Job summary

H. T. PROF Group in the Greater Philadelphia area seeks a Financial Controller to build and own the finance function from the ground up. This high-visibility role reports to the CEO and offers a true path to CFO as the company scales under PE ownership.

The position manages close, reporting, budgeting, and controls for a 40-person manufacturing site. You’ll partner with sales/ops on planning and be the lynchpin of financial discipline in a growing, PE-backed business.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Accounting/Finance or similar discipline.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience.
• CPA or CMA preferred but not required.
• Manufacturing cost accounting depth essential.
• Experience closing books and full reporting cycle.
• Sage ERP experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Stand up and own the finance function, close process, KPI cadence.
• Drive FP&A and risk analysis for the company.
• Lead monthly close, weekly flash reports, MD&A and board packs.
• Oversee AR, AP and payroll; work with outsourced tax/audit.
• Oversee audits and internal controls; ensure tax compliance.
• Own finance systems; manage potential Sage upgrade.
• Interface with Sales for supply/demand planning input.
• Manage banking, treasury and insurance relationships.
