Job summary

The Nature Conservancy in Minnesota is seeking a Donor Relations Manager to plan and implement fundraising activities that cultivate major and deferred gifts for our One Future initiative. You will qualify major gift prospects, build a 75–125 donor portfolio, and engage with donors through meetings, events, and personalized correspondences.

You’ll use our donor database to maintain records, track activity, and coordinate between departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5 years related experience.
• Major gift and direct fundraising experience.
• Managing a qualified major gift portfolio of at least 75 donors.
• Experience building relationships with donors, volunteers, and staff.
• Experience in managing and tracking multiple prospects and donors.
• Experience working across departments.
• Experience, coursework, or other training in fundraising principles and practices.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement fundraising activities to cultivate major and deferred gifts.
• Conduct donor meetings to assess capacity and inclination.
• Manage a portfolio of 75–125 major gift donors and track activity.
• Coordinate donor outreach through meetings, events, and field trips.
• Use donor database to update records and track interactions.
• Travel weekly for donor visits and quarterly travels across the three states.
