Job summary

Vanguard is seeking a Mac endpoint engineer to support and modernize our Enterprise macOS platform. You will work across provisioning, configuration, deployment, and lifecycle management to ensure reliability and a strong end-user experience.

You will write and refine scripts, participate in peer reviews, and use AI-assisted tools to accelerate development while maintaining sound technical judgment. Hybrid work model with cross-functional collaboration is expected.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience engineering macOS endpoints in an enterprise.
• Hands-on scripting and ability to read/write code.
• Ability to participate in peer reviews and explain decisions.
• Familiarity with GitHub-based workflows (pull requests, branching).
• Comfort using AI-assisted tools (Copilot, Claude).
• Understanding enterprise endpoint security concepts (hardening, patching).
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support the engineering and operation of the Mac platform across provisioning, configuration, software deployment, compliance, remediation, and lifecycle management.
• Engineer and modernize Mac management workflows in JamfPro, focusing on reliability, scalability, and user experience.
• Write, maintain, and improve scripts and code to support Mac management and service quality.
• Participate in peer reviews and clearly explain technical implementation decisions.
• Use AI-assisted tools responsibly to accelerate work with sound judgment.
• Evolve Mac endpoint standards including baseline configuration and security guardrails.
• Collaborate with security, QA, and release governance to improve validation for macOS updates and deployments.
• Support Jamf administration including policy management, device enrollment, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with the Mac Engineering team to deliver secure, stable platform solutions.
