Job summary

Vanguard is seeking a Mac Engineer to join the Mac Engineering team to scale and optimize the Mac experience across provisioning, configuration, and deployment. The role emphasizes end-to-end Mac platform engineering, including device management, scripting, and platform reliability in an enterprise environment.

The ideal candidate has 3–5+ years in macOS engineering, strong scripting skills, and experience with Jamf Pro.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of macOS endpoint engineering, scripting, or platform engineering.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration.
• Experience with Jamf Pro or Jamf Cloud.
• Experience with GitHub-based workflows.

Responsibilities

• Support the Mac platform engineering across provisioning, configuration, software deployment, compliance, remediation, and lifecycle management.
• Engineer and modernize Mac management workflows in Jamf Pro for reliability and user experience.
• Write and maintain scripts and code to support Mac platform management and service quality.
• Participate in peer reviews and explain technical decisions.
• Use AI-assisted tools responsibly to accelerate work with judgment.
• Evolve Mac endpoint standards including baseline configuration and security guardrails.
• Collaborate with security, QA, and release governance to improve validation for macOS updates.
• Support and enhance Jamf administration including policy management and device enrollment.
• Work with cross-functional Workplace Engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable platform solutions.
