Job summary

Buyers Edge Platform is seeking an Operations Coordinator to support day-to-day activities across Custom Distribution clients and internal teams in Chicago, ensuring clear communication and data accuracy while resolving logistics issues.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years in distribution or supply chain operations, a Bachelor's degree, and strong Excel and communication skills for a hybrid role with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business or Logistics preferred.
• 2–4 years’ experience in distribution, logistics or supply chain operations.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day functions supporting Custom Distribution clients and sites.
• Collaborate to forecast, manage inventory, and maintain par levels.
• Communicate daily supply chain matters, shortages, delays, and substitutions.
• Manage purchase orders, reconciliation, and resolution of accounting discrepancies.
• Analyze data to identify trends in volume, quality claims, shortages and delivery timing.
• Assist in training schedules and onboarding for new team members.
• Maintain close daily communication with CAMs, Procurement, Pricing Analysts, Accounting and Food Safety teams.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders via phone and email to provide timely updates.
