Job summary

Ocean Network Express is seeking an Outside Sales- Sales Representative/Account Executive in Rutherford, NJ, to drive revenue growth under a hybrid work-from-home/office model.

You will develop and execute day-to-day sales strategy, manage customer accounts, and work with Sales Management to achieve profitability and volume goals for the company’s marketing and commercial policy. A Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years in container shipping or logistics sales are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of outside sales experience in container shipping or logistics sectors preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Ability to communicate with customers and stakeholders effectively.
• Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Achieve or exceed assigned volume and revenue budget from RKA/LKA accounts by trade lane under Sales Management guidance.
• Maintain a new business account pipeline to expand the portfolio or replace lost business.
• Utilize ONE Force to maintain customer contacts, communications and account information.
• Maintain customer Account Plans by trade and provide input to required formats on time.
• Monitor reporting (Looker, PowerBi) and share weekly performance; take corrective action as needed.
• Coordinate with sales support on priorities to support customers and achieve budgets.
• Monitor Customer Scorecard elements and adjust actions to improve performance.
• Manage customer tenders and post-contract onboarding including e-commerce and ONE Quote initiatives.
