Uber Freight is seeking a Logistics Specialist – Dispatch to cover and tender open truckloads with our carrier base. This hybrid, on-site role links carrier and warehouse operations, demanding close collaboration with internal stakeholders and external providers to meet on-time delivery goals.

Responsibilities include reviewing schedules, assigning carriers, and maintaining TMS data, while seeking cost savings and process improvements in daily operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Undergraduate degree with no prior experience acceptable.
• Associate’s degree preferred; manufacturing or large-scale distribution experience a plus.
• Familiarity with SAP, FourKites, or other logistics tools.

Responsibilities

• Review schedules and prepare dynamic daily load requirements.
• Collaborate with multiple locations and load planners to meet market needs.
• Assign LTL carriers based on availability, cost and service.
• Maintain data in the Transportation Management System (TMS).
• Monitor shipment status and resolve capacity issues promptly.
• Analyze data for cost savings and operational improvements.
• Communicate with peers to align on performance goals.
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and policies.
• Support load optimization and network efficiency initiatives.
• Participate in daily logistics meetings to forecast needs.
