Job summary

Rolls-Royce seeks a Product Performance Local Specialist in Indianapolis, IN, offering a hybrid work model (3 days onsite). You will perform propulsion cycle analyses, develop thermodynamic models, and mentor others, supporting design-to-service engine performance across multiple programs.

Requires engineering/physics/math degrees with 5+ years of thermodynamics, gas dynamics, or engine design, plus security clearance eligibility. Relocation assistance is provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years in thermodynamics, gas dynamics, fluid mechanics and/or engine design.
• Master's degree with 3+ years in thermodynamics, gas dynamics, fluid mechanics and/or engine design OR a PhD.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain US security clearance (citizenship required).
• Experience with propulsion cycle analysis and high-fidelity modeling is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform propulsion cycle analysis and whole engine performance predictions using simulations.
• Develop and maintain thermodynamic cycle models (NPSS).
• Train and mentor others in thermodynamics and engine performance modeling.
• Lead propulsion systems performance testing and publish technical reports.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Controls, Thermals, Air Systems, Lifing, and Design.
• Define plans to fulfill engine performance requirements for certification.
