Job summary

Align Credit Union in Lowell, MA is seeking a Loan Servicing Representative I to perform foundational loan funding and routine servicing of consumer, mortgage, and home equity loans, ensuring accurate documents and timely processing.

You will assist members with online banking, support daily processing, respond to inquiries, and collaborate with the servicing team to develop knowledge and take on broader responsibilities over time.

Responsibilities

• Loan Funding: Perform funding of approved consumer, mortgage, home equity, and other assigned loans, ensuring required documentation, system information, disbursements, and funding instructions are complete and accurate prior to funding.
• Loan Servicing & Maintenance: Perform routine servicing and maintenance of consumer and real estate loans, including processing payments, account maintenance, research, corrections, and other servicing requests in accordance with established procedures and assigned authority.
• Paid Loan & Collateral Documentation: Process paid-loan documentation and assist with the preparation, tracking, and release of liens, automobile titles, mortgages, discharges, and other collateral documentation.
• Daily Processing: Process daily mail, loan payments, payoff-related activity, reports, documentation, and other routine servicing transactions accurately and within deadlines.
• Member Service & Loan Support: Respond to member inquiries regarding loan payments, balances, histories, payoff information, and servicing processes; escalate complex matters when needed.
• Online & Digital Banking Support: Assist members with Online Banking and other digital services, educate on self-service options, and escalate issues when necessary.
• Contact Center Support: Provide backup support to the Contact Center, handle routine inquiries, and route or escalate matters as appropriate.
• Insurance, Titles & Servicing Support: Assist with insurance, titles, escrow, lien, and other loan servicing functions; maintain accurate records and follow-up as required.
• Departmental Support & Cross-Training: Cross-train on additional servicing responsibilities to provide coverage and collaborate with departments to resolve issues.
• Compliance, Accuracy & Professional Development: Adhere to policies and regulations, participate in training, and develop knowledge for increased responsibilities.
• Pay transparency: The base pay range is $20.00-$24.00 per hour; compensation may vary by experience, skills, and certifications.
