Job summary

Quarles & Brady LLP in San Diego seeks a Litigation Paralegal with 5+ years in labor and employment to support case management from inception to trial. The role requires strong organizational and communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will handle ESI, document review, subpoenas, depositions and trial materials, collaborating with attorneys and vendors to ensure seamless trial readiness.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of litigation paralegal experience in labor and employment.
• Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, Westlaw and e-discovery platforms.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with all aspects of labor and employment litigation case management from pre-suit investigation through trial and post-trial proceedings.
• Conduct factual investigations and analysis.
• Collect, review, organize and analyze large volumes of documents and electronically stored information (ESI).
• Prepare documents for production, including Bates-stamping, privilege review coordination and quality control.
• Draft, coordinate and manage service of subpoenas.
• Assist attorneys in preparing for depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations and trial.
• Prepare exhibits, witness binders, demonstratives and other trial-related materials.
• Manage case calendars, deadlines and docketing in accordance with applicable court rules and procedures.
• Coordinate with court reporters, vendors and e-discovery providers as needed.
• Support trial preparation, including witness coordination, exhibit management and courtroom technology setup.
