Job summary

Permanent Placements LLC represents a nationally recognized law firm seeking a Litigation Paralegal to support its Government Practice Group in Chicago. This hybrid, full-time position is for an experienced paralegal who manages civil defense matters from inception through trial.

You will handle discovery, subpoenas, depositions, and legal research; prepare pleadings, briefs, trial binders, and exhibit lists; coordinate with experts and witnesses, and assist with trial logistics.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of civil litigation paralegal experience.
• Experience handling complex litigation matters.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor case files from inception through settlement or trial.
• Track deadlines and ensure timely responses to court requirements.
• Prepare subpoenas, discovery requests, and depositions.
• Draft and organize pleadings, briefs, and trial binders.
• Coordinate with experts, witnesses, and trial logistics.
• Organize exhibits and assist with trial preparation.
