Job summary

Tyson & Mendes, a nationally recognized law firm specializing in insurance defense litigation, seeks an experienced paralegal to support civil litigation matters in Florida. You will manage case files, draft and proofread documents, organize records, and assist with depositions, hearings, and trial preparation in a fast-paced, collaborative team.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years as a litigation paralegal, Florida experience, and proficiency in MS Office and legal document management systems.

Qualifications

• Paralegal certification is required.
• 3–5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal.
• Florida litigation experience is highly encouraged.
• Solid understanding of civil litigation rules and deadlines.
• Proficient in MS Office and Adobe Acrobat; document management experience.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with discovery, motions, and deposition binders.
• Coordinate trial preparation: witnesses, travel, exhibits, and notebooks.
• Review and organize medical records and damages calculations.
• Collaborate with clients, experts, and attorneys on case status.
• Utilize legal tech and case management tools to stay organized.
