Job summary

Tyson & Mendes, a nationally recognized law firm, seeks an experienced paralegal to support civil litigation, personal injury, and construction defect matters. This hybrid role includes 1 day in office weekly and trial prep, located at 707 Combined Centre on Skokie Blvd, Northbrook, IL.

You will assist with case management, draft and proofread documents, manage records, prep for depositions, hearings, and trials, leveraging case management tools.

Qualifications

• Paralegal certification is required.
• 3–5 years minimum experience as a litigation paralegal.
• Experience with Illinois civil litigation encouraged.
• Proficiency with MS Office and legal document management systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with discovery (interrogatories, admissions, requests for production, subpoenas) and motions.
• Manage trial preparation including witnesses, travel, exhibits, notebooks, subpoenas, and page lines.
• Review and organize medical records and calculate damages (medical expenses, lost wages).
• Collaborate with team and communicate case status with clients, experts, and attorneys.
