Job summary

MG+M The Law Firm seeks Associate Attorneys to join our growing litigation team in California offices: Irvine, Los Angeles, San Francisco, or Walnut Creek. We seek attorneys with at least three years of defense litigation experience in Construction Defect, General Liability, Product Liability, or related civil matters.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of defense litigation experience in Construction Defect, General Liability, Product Liability, or related civil litigation matters.
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Admission to practice law in California and in good standing.
• Experience handling all phases of litigation, including motion practice, discovery, and depositions.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Commitment to providing exceptional client service.

Responsibilities

• Handle local and national accounts throughout the State of California.
• Independently manage a litigation caseload from inception through resolution.
• Conduct and defend depositions.
• Prepare witnesses for depositions and trial.
• Review and analyze discovery requests and responses.
• Draft and respond to discovery, pleadings, motions, and other litigation filings.
• Take lead roles in plaintiff and expert witness depositions.
• Assist with trial preparation and trial support.
• Collaborate with partners, clients, and team members to develop case strategy.
• Maintain accurate and timely billing and time records.
