Job summary

MG+M The Law Firm is seeking a Paralegal to join the General Liability practice in California offices (Irvine, Los Angeles, Walnut Creek, or San Francisco). The role supports complex civil litigation and requires strong attention to detail and organization.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of General Liability Defense experience, a Bachelor’s degree, and proficiency with MS Office, Westlaw, PACER, and File & Serve Xpress. Hybrid work arrangement offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years of General Liability Defense litigation experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Westlaw, PACER, and File & Serve Xpress.
• Ability to manage a large caseload with accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; punctual and dependable.
• Strong organization and prioritization in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple complex litigation matters.
• Monitor case filings and provide detailed assessments to attorneys.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery requests under supervision.
• Coordinate with clients, insurance adjusters, expert witnesses, and counsel.
• Conduct legal research and summarize findings for review.
• Organize case files, exhibits, and trial binders.
• Assist with depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trial prep.
• Process subpoenas and third-party discovery.
• Review discovery documents like medical and employment records.
• Record and bill contemporaneous time per firm policy.
