Job summary

MG+M The Law Firm (MG+M) has an immediate opening for an Associate Attorney in our New York office. The attorney will independently manage a general liability and labor law litigation caseload from inception through resolution.

The role requires a Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and a minimum of three years of litigation experience, with admission to practice in New York (New Jersey a plus). We offer a hybrid work environment and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Minimum of three (3) years of litigation experience in one or more of the following practice areas: Labor Law, General Liability.
• Admitted to practice in New York with New Jersey a plus.
• Experience with motion practice and depositions.
• Experience taking lead in plaintiff and expert depositions.
• Capable of independent work.
• Superior research and writing skills.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Ability to analyze complex matters.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage a general liability and labor law litigation caseload from inception through resolution.
• Conduct and defend depositions.
• Prepare witnesses for depositions and trial.
• Review and analyze discovery requests and responses.
• Draft and respond to discovery, pleadings, motions, and other litigation filings.
• Take lead roles in plaintiff and expert witness depositions.
• Assist with trial preparation and trial support.
• Collaborate with partners, clients, and team members to develop case strategy.
• Maintain accurate and timely billing and time records.

Education
