BR+A Borealis Lighting Studio in Boston is seeking a Studio Design Manager to lead lighting design projects from concept through construction administration. You will shape the studio's direction, build relationships, and bring a strong design voice to clients and architects.

The role requires 8+ years in architectural lighting design, a distinctive design sensibility, and autonomy to run projects with a creative and technical balance. Boston office-based with hybrid work arrangement.

Qualifications

• 8+ years designing architectural lighting.
• Distinctive design sensibility from first principles.
• Mentor and direct junior designers; run projects autonomously.
• Degree in lighting design or architecture/interior design with strong portfolio.
• Fluency in Revit, AutoCAD, AGI32, Photoshop, and InDesign.
• LC or CLD certification required.

Responsibilities

• Run projects from concept through construction administration.
• Bring creative voice and defend design decisions.
• Collaborate with BR+A engineering team and clients.
• Lead and mentor junior designers on projects.
