Studio Luz Architects in Boston seeks a Senior Project Architect + Technical Design Lead with 8+ years of experience to guide design across phases, coordinate with principals, mentor teams, and manage projects from feasibility through construction.

The role emphasizes BIM strategy, standards development, and advanced visualization using Revit, Rhino, and related tools; strong communication and public presentation skills are required to engage municipal clients and communities.

Qualifications

Professional degree in Architecture (BArch or MArch).
8+ years of professional architectural experience, guiding projects from concept through construction administration.
Proficiency with at least 4 years of Revit, managing templates and families, coordinating with consultants.
Strong critical thinking and ability to translate design concepts into realized projects.
Highly organized, detail-oriented team player.
Excellent graphic presentation, public speaking, and written communication skills.
Licensure or path to licensure preferred.
Experience working with private and public agencies desirable.

Responsibilities

Drive design across all phases from feasibility to technical execution for varied typologies.
Lead community engagement and deliver public presentations to client groups.
Perform QA/QC reviews of drawings and specifications during design and construction.
Mentor junior staff in code analysis, detailing, best practices.
Develop and evolve BIM standards, templates, and workflows.
Utilize Revit and Rhino; experience with Bluebeam, Enscape, Lumion, Twinmotion, or Grasshopper; Adobe CC apps.
