Job summary

Aegon is seeking an experienced actuary to manage actuarial functions for a product line or corporate process, including pricing, maintenance, and regulatory compliance. The role leads analysis, reports profitability by line, and may supervise a team.

It requires professional designation (FSA or ASA or equivalent) with 7–10 years of experience, strong leadership, and programming skills; hybrid work in the United States with hub offices in Cedar Rapids, Baltimore or Denver.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or related field.
• FSA or ASA designation with 7+ years of relevant experience; or ASA with 10 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Leads preparation and interpretation of actuarial information for management.
• Monitors profitability by line of business and develops reports/analyses.
• Maintains product line to comply with state and federal regulations.
• Manages studies underlying actuarial assumptions and provides data to others.
• Supports systems specifications, contracts, and other actuarial aspects of product development.
• Monitors developments in actuarial techniques, laws and regulations; advises on reactions.
