Job summary

AIG is seeking an Associate Actuary for A&H Pricing in North America to join a high-impact actuarial team. The role combines pricing, product design, and risk assessment with leadership of junior staff and collaboration across Finance, Claims, Operations, Marketing and Underwriting.

The candidate will translate data into insights for senior leadership, mentor actuaries, and drive pricing innovation while ensuring regulatory alignment.

Qualifications

• BS in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related area.
• ASA / ACAS designation is preferred.
• 4+ years of actuarial experience, A&H pricing experience preferred.
• Advanced experience with Excel, Python, and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge with R and/or other data visualization software a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive product innovation by collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring new products to market.
• Your knowledge of A&H products and analytical techniques will ensure competitive design and pricing.
• Assess and provide risk mitigation solutions to ensure alignment with corporate goals and regulatory standards.
• Translate complex data into actionable insights for senior leadership, influencing strategic decisions related to budget, product design, portfolio management, and business segments.
• Mentor a team of actuaries and analysts, fostering a culture of collaboration and actuarial best practices.
• Independently and effectively engage with various internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage multiple projects such as: Transformation projects for Pricing Management Reporting. Budget and reinsurance planning.
