Job summary

UMBC Campus is seeking a Library Services Specialist, e-Resources & Access to join the team that manages eresources, digital access, and microform technology. You will supervise student workers and contribute to records in the library system.

The position offers a hybrid telework option after probation, benefits including paid time off, tuition remission, and retirement plans, with a starting pay of $23.08 per hour.

Qualifications

• One year of experience directly related to the primary duties of the position.
• Background check required.
• Ability to supervise student workers in a library setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist library users via email, phone, ticketing system, and in person to resolve e-resources access questions, retrieve materials, and to facilitate the operation of microform readers.
• Add, correct, and improve records for e-resources and physical serials in the integrated library system
• Correspond with vendor support to resolve problems with vendor-provided metadata across library databases and the integrated library system
• Supervise student assistants who do diverse tasks with print and digital serials collections
