Job summary

RR Donnelley & Sons is seeking a Proofreader to review complex legal documents for grammar, spelling, and verbiage accuracy in Wheeling, WV. The role supports the Document Services team and requires careful attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential information.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in English or journalism or equivalent experience, at least 1 year of proofreading in a legal or corporate setting, and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English/Journalism preferred or equivalent work experience.
• At least 1 year proofreading experience, preferably in legal/banking/corporate environment.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of a legal timekeeping or job tracking system preferred.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Identify and correct spelling, grammar, and verbiage errors in complex legal documents.
• Detect formatting and compositional errors in documents.
• Check corrected proofs of legal documents against mark-ups for QA.
• Assist the Document Services team with document production and preparation.
• Handle sensitive and/or confidential documents and information.
• Communicate with manager and client on job or deadline issues.
