Job summary

RRD is seeking a proofreader to review legal documents for grammar and verbiage corrections, and to ensure accuracy under tight deadlines.

Key duties include identifying and correcting spelling and grammar, detecting formatting and compositional errors, and verifying proofs against mark-up. You will support the Document Services team and handle sensitive information in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English/Journalism or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 1 year proofreading, preferably in legal/banking/corporate.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with legal timekeeping or job tracking systems preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, detail-driven team.

Responsibilities

• Identify and correct spelling, grammar, and verbiage in legal docs.
• Detect formatting and compositional errors in documents.
• Check corrected proofs against mark-up for QA.
• Assist Document Services with production and prep.
• Handle confidential documents and information.
• Communicate with manager and client about deadlines.
