Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton LLP in Chicago seeks a billing professional to assist billing attorneys and finalize invoices for multiple practice groups. You will resolve discrepancies, process e-bills, update rates and time entries to ensure accurate billing and minimize downstream issues.

You will support Accounts Receivable, monitor department emails and calls, and help attorneys and LPS understand client billing processes and policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a law firm.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Prior experience with billing for an Intellectual Property practice preferred.
• Prior experience with 3E preferred.
• Ability to analyze, assess problems, prioritize concerns and decide.

Responsabilités

• Assist billing attorneys with analyzing and resolving discrepancies and ensure time, fees and vendor invoices are accurately recorded.
• Receive, process and finalize billing for attorneys in multiple practice groups.
• Coordinate markdowns, write-offs and necessary maintenance.
• Submit electronic bills using various e-billing systems and handle appeals.
• Assist with updating rates and revaluing time entries when rates change.
