Qualifications

• 3+ years of billing experience, preferably in a law firm.
• Experience with electronic billing and multiple e-billing systems.
• Excel proficiency, including Pivot tables.
• Ability to analyze issues, prioritize and resolve problems.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Assist billing attorneys with analyzing and resolving discrepancies and ensure accurate time, fees, and vendor invoices.
• Receive, process and finalize billing for attorneys in multiple practice groups.
• Coordinate markdowns, write-offs and maintenance.
• Submit electronic bills using various e-billing systems.
• Assist with revaluing time entries after rate changes and updating rates.
• Assist with obtaining cost backup for invoices.
• Provide guidance on financial systems to attorneys and LPS.
• Monitor and answer billing department emails and hotlines.
• Assist with understanding client billing processes and policies.
• Document and update Billing Profiles as needed.
• Assist AR and Client Support in resolving billing errors.
• Review new matter setup, discounts, time types and rate exceptions.
• Complete special projects and analysis as directed.
