Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a respected professional services organization in Chicago, IL to identify a Legal Billing Specialist. This role focuses on legal billing, eBilling, invoicing, and revenue operations within a collaborative team.

Based in Chicago with a hybrid work arrangement, the ideal candidate has 2+ years of billing experience, familiarity with eBilling platforms and LEDES formats, and strong proficiency in Excel, Outlook, and Word.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of legal billing, accounting, or billing experience
• Experience with eBilling platforms and LEDES formats preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
• Law firm or professional services experience preferred
• Experience with Aderant, SurePoint, or similar billing software is a plus

Responsibilities

• Process and review prebills and client invoices accurately and timely
• Ensure compliance with client billing guidelines and fee agreements
• Submit electronic bills through approved eBilling platforms
• Maintain billing instructions and client information within the accounting system
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies
• Partner with attorneys, legal assistants, and accounting professionals to support billing operations
• Respond to billing and payment inquiries
• Maintain confidentiality of financial and client information

This is an excellent opportunity for a billing professional with experience in legal billing, eBilling, invoicing, and revenue operations who is looking to join a collaborative and team-oriented environment.

Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid)

Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 annually

Benefits: Benefits package including health, dental, vision, PTO and 401(k)

Responsibilities

• Process and review prebills and client invoices accurately and timely
