Job summary

McGuireWoods LLP is seeking a Business Development Coordinator to join a dynamic team that supports revenue opportunities across departments, industry teams and client teams. The role is available in Washington DC with hybrid remote options and collaboration across Richmond, VA and Charlotte, NC offices.

The candidate will draft submissions for rankings, track BD ROI, maintain collateral, assist with pitches, manage budgets, and coordinate events. A law firm background is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 1+ year of experience in marketing, business, or practice development; law firm exposure a plus.
• Strong time management and organizational abilities.
• Clear written and spoken communication with staff, lawyers, clients.

Responsibilities

• Draft and manage directory submissions (e.g., Chambers, Legal 500) and other rankings.
• Maintain lists for reporting on BD plan ROI.
• Track referrals, practice group successes, and target efforts.
• Update collateral, representative work, and website content.
• Assist with pitches and proposals, including editing and error-free deliverables.
• Assist with budget management.
• Organize and execute in-person and virtual events, seminars, webinars, receptions, and attorney speaking engagements.
