Job summary

WECU is seeking a Learning Experience Designer to join the Learning & Development team in Bellingham, WA. The role designs engaging learning experiences, facilitates sessions, creates interactive eLearning content with Articulate 360 and Camtasia, and manages courses in the LMS.

The position is hybrid, with occasional on-site meetings and trainings across the operating area. A minimum of 1 year in learning and development is required, with strong MS Office skills and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year learning and development experience.
• Knowledge of instructional design, curriculum development, and facilitation.
• Functional understanding of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and operate routine office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain pedagogically sound, scalable, learning experiences and solutions that support the credit union’s business plan, organizational initiatives, and employee performance.
• Facilitate in-person, blended, and virtual classroom instruction, as necessary.
• Utilize eLearning development tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Camtasia) to create interactive, media-rich learning resources, including, but not limited to, eLearning modules, job aids, instructional videos, and simulations.
• Build and maintain learning solutions in a learning management system.
• Define learning objectives and outcomes for learning experiences, as well as evaluation criteria to measure outcomes.
• Map out the learning journey for employees across the organization, and designs learning experiences and solutions that build necessary competencies over time.
• Serves as a learning and development consultant with different departments (e.g., Real Estate, Retail) and/or Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to understand needs.
• Manage and complete learning experience design tasks on time and within scope.
• Regularly communicate project status to stakeholders, developing tailored messaging, and using appropriate communication channels.
• Complete other duties and projects as assigned.
