Job summary

ASU EdPlus at Arizona State University seeks a Learning Experience Designer to lead UX-grade design across the portfolio of online courses. You will own typography, hierarchy, color, layout, and information architecture to make navigation obvious and courses organized for learners.

You will prototype, run usability tests, and build pattern libraries so multiple designers can deliver consistent, accessible courses at portfolio scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and five years of relevant experience or equivalent.
• Experience producing wireframes and mockups in Figma, Sketch, or Adobe CC.
• Experience conducting user research and iterating designs from findings.
• Experience building and governing a design system or pattern library.
• WCAG 2.1 AA and Universal Design for Learning in production work.
• Familiarity with HTML and CSS and learning science concepts.

Responsibilities

• Own visual and information design standards across the course portfolio.
• Design module, page, and course-level information architecture for obvious navigation.
• Produce wireframes, mockups, and prototypes; iterate from usability findings.
• Partner with multimedia teams to align video and on-page design with WCAG constraints.
• Define signature experience patterns for priority moments and measure success.
• Build and govern component libraries for scalable course design.
• Collaborate with UX Research on testing and learner feedback analysis.
