Daimler Truck North America LLC is seeking an Industrial Engineer to develop engineered labor standards and optimize manufacturing processes. The role supports both new products and industrialization projects, leveraging LEAN methods to increase value add and efficiency.

The position is based in Portland, Oregon with a hybrid schedule and a starting salary range of $71,000-$91,000 USD, plus bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial/Manufacturing/Process/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• 4+ years relevant experience in lieu of degree
• Detail oriented, reliable, and self-motivated
• Lean, process optimization knowledge
• Strong cross-functional communication
• English: advanced (speaking, reading, writing)
• Position located in Portland, Oregon

Responsibilities

• Develop labor standards for new projects and industrialization efforts.
• Review concepts and optimize install labor and ergonomics.
• Apply LEAN methods to plan processes and work cells and eliminate waste.
• Maintain and update existing labor standards.
• Perform time and motion studies on complex tasks.
• Support development of standards, guidelines, and procedures for labor standards.
• Provide engineering/economic analysis for facilities, workflows, methods, and processes.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing/warehouse layouts for new products and capacity expansion.
• Apply industrial engineering techniques throughout the product life cycle.
