Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company in Columbus, OH, seeks a seasoned accounting professional to drive consolidation and enterprise-wide close activities. You will coordinate policy changes, advise on complex transactions, and ensure GAAP/STAT reporting across 150+ entities.

Hybrid work arrangement with opportunities to lead process improvements. The role includes day-to-day coaching for associates and collaboration with Controllership leadership.

Qualifications

• GAAP and/or STAT knowledge and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with sophisticated financial statement preparation and consolidation of companies/subsidiaries.
• Understanding of taxation principles and their impact on statements.
• Ability to analyze, interpret financial documents and regulatory requirements.
• Project management and ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate research, analysis and implementation of new or revised accounting policies and procedures.
• Advise senior management on complex accounting transactions and statements.
• Prepare and submit complex accounting data for accurate reporting at all levels.
• Guide actions to address unfavorable financial conditions identified by analyses.
• Lead development of new systems/processes within assigned areas.
