Job summary

Akima Infrastructure Protection (AIP) in Los Fresnos, TX seeks a Lead Case Processing Specialist to supervise daily case-processing activities, coordinate with detention operations, and ensure timely, accurate processing in compliance with contract requirements and government standards.

The role reports to the Case Management Coordinator and may perform case-processing duties as needed, maintaining accountability for team performance and workflow efficiency.

Qualifications

• Accredited associate or bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least two years of directly related case-management or case-processing experience.
• Experience reviewing detention files, custodial records, immigration case files, or government databases.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DHS/ICE clearance and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Direct-line supervision, delegation, workload tracking, coaching, and staff accountability.
• Quality-assurance inspections, file audits, and review of case files for accuracy and timeliness.
• Lead intake, transfer, release, and removal operations and coordinate with detention operations teams.
• Coordinate with ICE personnel and facility management to resolve issues affecting processing timelines.
• Ensure compliance with privacy, DHS policies, and record-keeping requirements.
