Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is hiring a Lead Agentic AI Offensive Security Engineer in the United States for a hybrid role, averaging two days a week in an HPE office. You will architect and deliver agentic AI platforms to accelerate cybersecurity triage, detection, response, and complex workflows.

The role requires deep expertise in agentic systems, platform reliability, and security, with hands-on work on orchestration, tool calling, memory, and model-agnostic interfaces using LangGraph, Claude

Qualifications

• 10 years of experience in software, platform, distributed-systems, or AI engineering.
• Hands-on experience with agent orchestration, planning, tool calling, and memory.
• Experience with foundation-model APIs and open-weight or self-hosted models.
• Expert Python and backend engineering skills including REST/gRPC, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of AI security, production reliability, and threat modeling.

Responsibilities

• Own reference architecture and engineering standards for production agentic AI systems.
• Design reusable agent execution harnesses separating AI reasoning from execution.
• Lead multi-agent workflows, state management, memory, and long-running processes.
• Define model-agnostic interfaces and tooling registries for enterprise use.
• Establish evaluation, observability, and security practices; mentor engineers.
