Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise in Frisco, Texas is seeking an Agentic AI Engineer to design, build, and operate production-grade agentic systems that integrate foundation models, software services, data, tools, and automation. You will design reusable execution harnesses, support model-agnostic interfaces, and build backend services with containers and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, AI, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5–8 years of software engineering, platform engineering, distributed systems, or AI engineering experience.
• Proven track record delivering production software systems.
• Hands-on experience with LLM-powered or agentic systems is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable architectures for production-grade agentic AI systems.
• Build agent orchestration, multi-agent workflows, state management, and tool integration.
• Create model-agnostic interfaces for multiple foundation models and providers.
• Develop MCP servers, APIs, tool registries, skills, and data sources.
• Develop retrieval and context services including RAG, vector databases, and agent memory.
• Implement observability across agent execution, models, tools, and performance.
• Apply security principles including least privilege, sandboxing, and secrets management.
• Deploy and operate agentic services using containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and cloud-native practices.
