Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking a Principal Project Engineer in Phoenix, AZ, to lead development and delivery of avionics and flight deck technologies for Anthem, Epic, and Apex platforms. You will provide technical and program leadership from proposal through delivery, partnering with PMO, CBT, customers, and suppliers.

You will report to the Director of Engineering and work on a hybrid schedule (3 days in office, 2 days remote) from Phoenix.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or similar.
• 10+ years of experience in engineering or project management roles.
• Proficiency in project management tools and methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering program execution across Centers of Excellence and external suppliers, ensuring delivery of technical, cost, schedule, and quality objectives.
• Serve as the primary technical contact for customers, program management, and senior leadership, providing engineering direction and resolving complex challenges.
• Define and manage program scope, schedules, resources, and budgets with integrated project plans aligned to commitments.
• Drive program performance through risk management and proactive problem resolution, implementing corrective actions.
• Develop execution strategies and operational plans with PMO, CBT, and leaders to support pursuits, launches, and long-term objectives.
• Establish and monitor program metrics using data-driven decision making, EVM, and continuous improvement to enhance performance.
