Job summary

Cannon Riverside is seeking a Business Unit Director of Land Development to lead business development, mentor engineers, and deliver complex land development and higher education projects across California.

You will build and strengthen client relationships, manage budgets and schedules, collaborate with jurisdictions and agencies, and drive profitability while expanding Cannon's market presence in the Pacific region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited college is required.
• California Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
• 15+ years of civil engineering experience in land development projects.
• 10+ years supervising and managing projects with budget/schedule constraints.
• Proven business development and client management.

Responsibilities

• Drives business development, identifies opportunities, and secures new work.
• Leads and mentors a team of engineers and designers across offices.
• Oversees project delivery, budgets, schedules, and quality.
• Represents Cannon with clients, agencies, and community stakeholders.
• Collaborates with regulatory agencies to facilitate approvals.
