Job summary

PlanIT Group, LLC is seeking a Network Engineer to support LAN and Wi‑Fi monitoring and troubleshooting. The role reports to USPS management and involves hybrid work in Eagan, MN, with on-site windows and occasional on-call duties.

Ideal candidates will hold a Bachelor's degree, 3+ years of IT/network experience, and strong knowledge of LAN protocols, plus experience with Cisco Meraki, Aruba, Juniper Mist, and Fortinet. Excellent communication and self‑management are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or higher and at least 3 years IT/network experience.
Proficiency in LAN protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, VLANs, STP).
Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow).
Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and resolve LAN and Wi‑Fi connectivity issues (switches/routers/cabling).
Handle Tier 2 support for LAN incidents and service requests.
Document troubleshooting steps for future reference.
Collaborate with Tier 3 LAN Engineers for complex issues.
