Qualifications

• 4-7 years of Labor & Employment litigation experience.
• Active California Bar admission and good standing.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Ability to take responsibility with minimal supervision.
• Strong organization, judgment, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle Labor & Employment litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Manage single-plaintiff employment disputes and increasingly complex matters.
• Assist with wage-hour, class, collective, and PAGA matters.
• Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategies.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, correspondence, and other legal documents.
• Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, negotiations, and other litigation proceedings.
• Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and other legal professionals.
• Take responsibility for routine matters and progressively more complex matters with minimal supervision.
• Analyze complex legal and business issues and develop practical solutions.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and other legal professionals.
• Maintain strong client relationships and provide responsive legal service.
• Meet the annual 1,950 billable-hour requirement.
