Job summary

Boyd Thermal by Eaton in Billerica, MA seeks a Junior Product Manager with an engineering background to steer CDU/thermal product lifecycles from concept to launch and beyond. You will partner with Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and Operations to implement stage-gate processes and standard product management tools.

The role focuses on coordinating MRDs/PRDs, roadmaps, and business cases for standard and configured products, while aligning with pricing and cost models across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• Minimum 1 year experience in multi-piece mechanical manufacturing.
• Minimum 1 year experience as Associate PM, Junior PM, or Product Specialist in a technical hardware manufacturing company.
• Experience with Stage-Gate/Phase-Gate NPI methodologies.
• Hands-on familiarity with PLM systems and project tracking software (Jira, Asana, MS Project) and financial modeling in Excel.

Responsibilities

• Drive Stage-Gate Process & NPI execution across cross-functional teams.
• Draft and maintain MRDs, PRDs, product roadmaps, and business cases for new standard or configured products.
• Standardize PM toolsets and use PLM, project tracking software, and financial models.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Marketing, Sales for alignment and governance.
• Create technical guides, datasheets, pricing tools, and customer-facing notes.
• Track cost models, product margins, and pricing structures across CDU configurations.
• Incorporate Voice of Customer feedback into the product backlog.
