Job summary

Jacobs is seeking Junior Staff Archaeologists to support projects across the western United States, including field surveys, monitoring, and archival research. You will work under senior staff to ensure compliance with NHPA, NEPA, ARPA, and NAGPRA within a flexible hybrid/remote/work location framework.

The role requires a B.A. in Anthropology or related field, field school completion, and at least two years of field experience with construction monitoring.

Qualifications

• Degree in Anthropology with archaeology emphasis.
• Field school completion required.
• Minimum two years of professional archaeological field work with construction monitoring experience.
• Experience with GIS and relational databases is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Class I research, Class III surveys, and cultural resources monitoring.
• Perform fieldwork including surveying and monitoring; participate in lab work and data analysis.
• Prepare technical reports and assess eligibility for NRHP/state registers.
• Coordinate compliance with NHPA, ARPA, NEPA, and related regulations.
• Support senior cultural resources staff and collaborate with clients.
