Job summary

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. seeks a Mid-Level Associate Archaeologist for the western United States, offering desktop and field support across NHPA, ARPA, NEPA, and NAGPRA compliance.

You will lead small to medium projects, supervise field crews, draft reports, and assist in tribal consultations, with hybrid/remote/office flex. The role requires travel across the US West and collaboration with engineers and project staff.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Archaeology or related field.
• Meets Secretary of the Interior’s Professional Qualifications Standards for Archaeology.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional archaeological fieldwork within the US West.

Responsibilities

• Lead for small to medium projects; coordinate with GIS and editors.
• Lead author for project reports and preparation of resource forms.
• Develop fieldwork plans, health, safety & environment plans; prepare permits.
