Job summary

Jacobs in the United States is seeking Staff Archaeologists to support projects across Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina, and Alabama. This role offers part-time, on-call work (1-20 hours per week) with the possibility to transition to full-time, and a hybrid work model.

You will perform cultural resources duties under senior staff guidance, travel frequently, and contribute to NHPA/NEPA compliance and archaeological reporting, helping grow expertise across diverse projects and geographies.

Qualifications

• Requires at least a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology/Archaeology/CRM
• Minimum of 2 years of professional archaeological field work experience
• Experience in construction monitoring and collaborating with tribal monitors
• Knowledge of NHPA, ARPA, NEPA, NAGPRA and state policies
• Experience using GPS technologies (EOS, FieldMap, Survey123)

Responsibilities

• Support cultural resources planning, engineering, and construction projects.
• Work under senior staff guidance on NHPA/NEPA compliance and reporting.
• Travel frequently to project sites across multiple states.
• Collaborate with tribal monitors and other stakeholders.
• Contribute to field and office archaeological needs and documentation.
