Tompkins Community Bank is seeking a detail-oriented professional to support Item Processing operations. You will verify daily cash letters, balance settlement totals, and prepare backups.

The role involves responding to system inquiries and ensuring data integrity across reports. You will coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve issues, perform account adjustments, and maintain compliance with Federal Reserve Operating Circulars.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; an Associate's Degree in business or related field preferred.
• Experience with bank regulatory reporting and banking systems is preferred.
• Operational or image processing experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure daily tasks are completed on time with minimal errors; balance cash letters and settle totals.
• Process check adjustments and monitor Federal Reserve reconciliation.
• Contact internal/external vendors for system or hardware issue resolution.
• Prepare account adjustments and reconciliations; adhere to regulations.
• Open cases with system providers for item processing issues.
