Job summary

RapidWorks is seeking an IT System Administrator to own internal IT operations in a hybrid Boston environment. You will manage identity and access, device management, onboarding/offboarding, and network security while partnering with engineering on infrastructure-as-code practices.

This role emphasizes automation and compliance ownership as the company scales. With 3–5 years of corporate IT experience, you will automate routine tasks, maintain runbooks, and contribute to SOC 2 controls.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in corporate or internal IT, or systems administration.
• Hands-on administration of an enterprise MDM platform (e.g., Intune, Jamf, Kandji).
• Identity provider administration (Entra ID, Okta, Google Workspace), including SSO and provisioning.
• Experience working within SOC 2 or similar compliance framework: access reviews, offboarding timelines, evidence.
• Network administration: firewalls, VPNs, switches, wifi; troubleshooting across endpoints and connectivity.
• Strong documentation habits and process discipline.

Responsibilities

• Own identity & access lifecycle management for joiners, movers, and leavers across tools.
• Administer device-management across Windows/macOS with enrollment, baselines, encryption, patching, deployment, remote wipe.
• Provide internal IT support; enable onboarding/offboarding with repeatable checklists.
• Manage network health, security patches, and audit-proof access; ensure office connectivity.
• Automate routine work with Python/PowerShell; keep runbooks and inventories current; use AI coding assistants.
