Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology in the United States seeks a Full-Time IT Support Specialist in Bossier City, LA to be the first point of contact for IT issues for the VA ESDMS. You will respond to service calls, diagnose hardware/software/network problems, and document solutions.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 1+ year of customer service, and Louisiana residency within 60 miles of Bossier City. A hybrid work setup and onsite training are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1+ year of customer service or telephone experience.
• Louisiana residency within 60 miles of Bossier City facility.
• Must be able and willing to work any full-time shift.
• Eligible to obtain a public trust clearance.
• Access to high speed wired internet and a quiet work environment.

Responsibilities

• Respond to incoming service calls or self-service queues for the VA ESDMS client.
• Identify, evaluate, and prioritize end-user issues for resolution.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems.
• Document incident status and solutions in incident databases.
• Diagnose and analyze problems using historical records.
