Job summary

B&L Information Systems in Bridgman, MI, is seeking an IT Specialist to join the Technology Team. This hybrid role combines on-site infrastructure work with remote tasks, supporting the B&L Cloud and Odyssey ERP to ensure security, performance, and reliability.

The position emphasizes AI-driven tools, scripting in PowerShell or Python, and SQL queries, with collaboration across the company to implement practical, inventive solutions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related IT experience.
• Associate's degree in information technology or equivalent.
• Experience writing PowerShell, Python, or another scripting language.
• Demonstrable ability to write basic SQL queries.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to customers who use Odyssey ERP.
• Perform Odyssey ERP software upgrades to customer systems.
• Manage, support, and maintain internal systems and computers used by B&L employees.
• Manage, support, and troubleshoot customer database systems.
• Assist in the configuration, monitoring, and optimization of internal and cloud network infrastructure for performance, availability, low maintenance, and reasonable cost.
• Analyze, recommend, and evaluate new hardware, software, and communications products for network compatibility and applicability.
• Design and build tools and applications that support the management of the B&L Cloud and Odyssey ERP.
• Develop, maintain, and update a library of technical documentation.
• Assist in training other employees on internal technology systems.
• Learn new tools and technologies, both independently and through instruction.
