Job summary

Sierra Management and Technologies, Inc. seeks an experienced Director of IT and Security to lead and secure our DoD-focused IT infrastructure in a hybrid environment. You will own network, cloud, cyber compliance, and audit readiness for active contracts, including CMMC and NIST standards.

The role is on-site in Southern Maryland with a telework option one day per week. You will manage夜 a team and guide strategic IT security growth while overseeing facilities systems and budgeting.

Qualifications

• 10+ years hands-on network and systems administration
• Experience in CMMC Level 2, NIST SP 800-171, DFARS compliance
• Hybrid Active Directory and Azure AD administration
• Experience with Microsoft 365 GCC or GCC High environments
• FortiGate firewall administration and security management
• Experience handling CUI data
• RBAC design and endpoint management (Intune / VSA)
• VPN config, VLAN management, secure network architecture
• Experience supervising IT staff and security teams
• Active security clearance or eligibility

Responsibilities

• Manage hybrid identity infrastructure (AD and Azure AD Entra ID) for 120+ users
• Administer and secure 80+ endpoints; oversee patching and vulnerability remediation
• Oversee Fortinet network infrastructure, VLANs, VPN and segmentation
• Operate threat detection, email filtering, dark web monitoring and IAM tools
• Maintain CMMC Level 2, NIST SP 800-171, DFARS; prep SSP, POA&Ms, CUI flow diagrams
• Plan for and implement CMMC Level 3 compliance
• Support helpdesk: onboarding/offboarding, hardware builds, end-user support
• Manage software licensing, vendor relationships, IT budget
• Lead IT and FSO teams; drive strategic IT security growth
• Oversee VoIP, badge access and AV systems in facilities
